Of course, the games keep getting more and more realistic, but also more intense for the CPU and Video Card. Crysis, which did well for the critics, had a hard time selling because of the specs. Are you one that gets a new video card each year to keep up? Or do you just do it when that one game comes out you got to have?

Before 5 or 7 years I always upgraded my pc. Now I am having laptop and don't have much time for playing. So i do not upgrade my laptop now. But i'm thinking about purchasing playstation3. Than i really don't need upgrading :p

Lately, the upgrade pace is getting faster that before.. system requirements for new games demands this upgrades.. most probably every 2 years or so.. one must upgrade to keep up.. and note that the gap of this upgrades are getting shorter since new items are always coming out of the market every month

I dont even bother with this crap. First off I dont play that many games on the computer to where I would need to update and secondly, it happens too quickly, the updates I mean. About a year back I was into this one game online and it asked me to freaking update like once or twice a month, to me thats just an unneeded headache. Now the only thing i update is my flash crap (lol).

Well, i dont really bother. Im a casual gamer anyway. And moreover, the PC Technology moves so fast that even if i were to upgrade my PC, it will sooner or later be "outdated". :p

i work for best buy. fortunatly eah year we have incredibly awesome incentives for such things.

each year intel gives us a special bundle. where we can get the newest intel motherboard, processor, and best copy of windows for 200$

on top of that we get incentives from BFG for half off their video cards. then for harddrives and ram, i just have my typical bby discount that helps for that.

i upgrade my mobo and processor every year. videocard every two. so this year i got to do my vid card cause im running the 7800 series nvidias. but for the most part i dont spend over 200$.
